The Egyptian newspapers are dominated by foot soldier fanatic secularists who dominate the press and no single voice other than the secularists devotees is allowed. In a country with vast majority Muslim population Islam has become a dirty word thanks to the militant secularists who control many newspapers like the ultra, ultra secularists of the leading newspaper Al-Ahram.
The Muslim voice is not allowed. In the opposite side the local Christian Copts have their copti-politics newspaper Watani.
The Copts as such have more religious rights than the suppressed Muslims. Although no effort to prevent muslims from praying in mosques all other aspects of religious freedom are denied for muslims such as their own news papers, magazines and publications.
Other countries fair worse such as Syria where a communist anti-Muslim atmosphere is the norm of the day.
